Over six to ten weeks, a rough diamond is formed, cut, polished, and crafted into jewelry like earrings, rings, necklaces, or bracelets. The growth process begins with a 'seed' diamond placed in a chamber, exposed to high temperatures, and introduced to a carbon-rich gas mixture. As carbon accumulates, it forms atomic bonds with the seed, resulting in the growth of a new, identical diamond. While indistinguishable to the naked eye, scientists can identify differences by analyzing markers caused by growth conditions.
